The Civic Quarter Area Action Plan (CQAAP) is Trafford’s flagship response to the climate emergency.

Focused on the areas around White City, Trafford Bar and the Old Trafford cricket ground, it aims to create the borough’s newest and greenest neighbourhood through major regeneration.

The Plan will deliver 4,000 new homes, 50,000 sqm of commercial space, and a 2,200 sqm public park at the heart of Lumina Village, creating a greener and more sustainable district for the future.

Lumina Village will play a vital part in the Civic Quarter's new distinctive identity as a destination and a place to live, work and play.

Trafford Council is also working with the GMCA and Far East Consortium to deliver 650 new homes, a hotel, and commercial space on the former Greater Manchester Police site, offering a vibrant place for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
